The NC State Outing Club is funded through member dues and funding from the NCSU Club Sports, expenses(gas, camping, fees) on trips are split among the participants. Most of the club's business and organization is done online; there's very little bureaucracy. Mostly we just get outside and do things! Here's how our club works:

Join the Club

To join the club all you need to is pay your dues. Fees are $20 for a semester or $35 for an entire school year. You can give your fees to an officer at a meeting or put them in our box in the Campus Recreation office. The Campus Recreation office is located in Carmichael Gym Room 1000.

Participate

As a member, you can participate in as many or as few activities as you wish. Most trips are free to join. The large majority of our trips are announced on our listserv. If you are subscribed, it's highly advised that you do so to stay up to date with what's going on. Click here to sign up. On trips you will need to provide your own food and the group usually splits the c�"t of gas and camping/lodging. ��f we have gear that a member needs they are almost always welcome to use it for a trip.

Lead Trips

The NCSU Outing Club is run by members. As a member, you can lead whatever trip you wish, and the officers are here to help you. As an added perk, if you lead four or more adventures during the school year, the club will reimburse your membership fee!

Other Benefits

Though most members just want an inexpensive way to participate with other folks in fun outdoors activities, there are many other benefits, including a club shirt and the ability to borrow our high-quality gear.

More About the Club

If you're interested in becoming more active in the club, there many ways you can get involved, and we always need more good help. The easiest, and often the most rewarding, is to simply lead adventures yourself. If you want to go beyond leading adventures, there's room for you in the officer's group, and there are special privileges that come with this too. Contact the officers, or come to a meeting, if you want know more.
